On the occasion of the upcoming 50th anniversary of the ensemble, Doležal Quartet launches its new festival Qu@rtet+ focused on chamber music.
The first year of the festival includes four concerts that are to be held at various locations in Prague. The intention of the Festival is to bring music to places where it is not so often performed.
Guests of the Doležal Quartet are pianists Ivo Kahánek, Jan Bartoš and cellist Jean-Guihen Queyras. Besides the world repertoire, Josef Mysliveček’s quartets are to be performed, which were recorded in 2020 for the label Supraphon as a premiere recording.
The opening concert will be broadcasted online due to the current pandemic situation. You can watch it on March 5 from 7 pm on Youtube. The link will be available on the Doležal Quartet’s Facebook and also on the web.
The concert features works by Mysliveček, Mozart and Ravel, and the guest of the opening concert is a leading Czech pianist Jan Bartoš.
The project is realized with financial support of the capital city of Prague.
The main festival’s media partner is a server KlasikaPlus.cz
